Building Better Bonds: Exploring Parent to Child Consent

As we move through Black History Month and think of the impact we make in others' lives, these sessions are created with the intention of encouraging respect within the Black community but also cross-culturally.

Consent is not often discussed in relation to healing, but it's an essential part of the healing journey. Consent is learned at all ages and stages - from childhood to the end stages of life. Each week in February we will review consent and how it relates to:

1) Parent/child dynamics

2) Safer sex-positivity

3) Professional/workplace consent

4) Holistic health/consent as we age

This workshop is open to all including parents, soon to be parents, or those looking to develop healthy bonds with the children in their lives. We discuss themes of consent from parent to child, as well as have conversations on how we can infuse mindfulness and awareness of body autonomy into the relationships with the children in our lives.
