Practicing Safer Sex Positivity

As we move through Black History Month and think of the impact we make in others' lives, these sessions are created with the intention of encouraging respect within the Black community but also cross-culturally.

Consent is not often discussed in relation to healing, but it's an essential part of the healing journey. Consent is learned at all ages and stages - from childhood to the end stages of life. Each week in February we will review consent and how it relates to:

1) Parent/child dynamics

2) Safer sex-positivity

3) Professional/workplace consent

4) Holistic health/consent as we age

This workshop explores ways we can add intersectional understanding to our practice of sex-positivity and body consent. Themes include: consent of the body layers, fatness and fatphobia, de-centering cis bodies and de-centering penetration.
